VAPS Annual Business Meeting by Zoom - Sunday February 28, 2021

Our VAPS Annual Business Meeting will be on Sunday, February 28, 2021. This year, the business meeting will be held on Zoom. Please register here. You will receive a zoom link prior to February 28th. The Meeting will include the Business portion, including the election of officers. There will also be an educational portion presented by the Applied Psychoanalysis Committee.

Schedule for the Meeting:

12:30 – 2:00 pm – Business Meeting, including count of ballots for election of board officers

2:15 – 4:15 pm – Presentation by the Applied Psychoanalysis Committee

A Discussion of Two Short Films

Sunday, February 28th, 2:15-4:15pm

The Applied Psychoanalysis Committee invites VAPS members to a 2-hr educational presentation following the business portion of our Annual Business Meeting. We will be viewing two short films: Two Strangers Who Meet Five Times, an award-winning film of the Manhattan Shorts and The Neighbor’s Window, winner of the Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film in 2020. Themes discussed will include, but not be limited to, self-identity, subject-object alternation, shame, envy, projection, the fronted self vs. the private self and more.

This event is free of charge and will include 2 CEUs.

You are welcome to come for the education presentation at 2:00 pm if you cannot make the business meeting. However, please be sure to send your ballot which will be emailed to active VAPS members.
