The goals of the Membership Committee include recruiting and welcoming new members as well as retaining current members. The Membership Committee Chairperson is often the first contact that a potential member has with VAPS. In this role the Chairperson encourages potential members to join VAPS by providing information regarding VAPS and the benefits of joining, in a welcoming manner. The Membership Committee works to retain members by enhancing the membership experience in a variety of ways. Recent efforts have included obtaining discount professional journal rates for members and offering members only professional and social events. The Membership Committee welcomes feedback from the Membership regarding our recruitment and retention efforts.
